Features
Next, and Bites
Two lists, nothing more. Next holds the places you want to try, like the one a friend just recommended. Bites holds the ones you've been to. Log your first visit and the place moves from Next to Bites on its own. The You tab keeps count of both.
Add a place in seconds
Tap +, search Apple Maps for the restaurant, bar or café and tap it. Bites fills in the name, address, phone and website. Can't find it? Add it by hand; all it needs is a name. Already saved it in Google Maps? Copy the link and paste it in.
Log every visit
Date, how many of you there were, a star rating and your notes. Add a photo to remember the table, the terrace or the queue.
Remember what you ordered
Add each dish or drink with its price and a 1 to 5 star rating. Bites adds up the total and what you spent per person, so next time you know what to order again and what to skip.
Favourites and a timeline
Mark the places you love as favourites. Every visit goes on a timeline, so you can look back at where you've been and when.
List or map, your way
Switch between a list and a map. Filter by type of cuisine, city, price, rating or your own tags. Sort by most recent, by rating, or by distance from where you are. On the map, show the places you've been, the ones you want to try, or both.
Your diary, yours to take
Export everything as JSON or CSV whenever you like.

Privacy
Private by default, not as a setting.
- There's no account to create.
- Bites has no server of its own, so your places, visits, notes and photos stay on your iPhone and in your own backups. We can't see them.
- No ads, no tracking, and we don't sell data.
- Bites counts a few anonymous events, like "a place was added", to learn which features get used. It never sends what you wrote, where you went or your photos.
- If you allow it, Bites uses your location to sort by distance, show you on the map and find places near you when you search. Searches go to Apple Maps, the same service behind the map. Your location never reaches us.

Do I need an account?
No. Open the app and start adding places. Nothing to sign up for, no email, no password.
Is Bites free?
Yes. Unlimited places, visits, notes, the map and one photo per visit are free for good. Bites Pro adds more photos per visit and colour themes, if you want them.
How do I add a place?
Tap + and type the name in the search bar, then tap the result and save. If it isn't there, choose "Add manually"; only the name is required. You can also copy a place's link in Google Maps and choose "Paste Google Maps link".
Can I get my data out?
Yes. You can export your whole diary as JSON or CSV at any time.
Does Bites sync between devices?
Not yet. Your diary stays on your iPhone. Sync is coming later.
What happens if I stop paying for Pro?
Nothing is deleted. Your photos stay where they are. You just can't add more than one per visit, and the app goes back to the Classic theme.
Does it work on iPad or Android?
Bites is made for iPhone. It's available in English, Spanish and Catalan.
